How the Cotswold Mice were born
Aneata started making these little mice in her studio in 2013. She used to draw little mice (and elephants!) with her mum as little girl. One day, she felt the urge to make something fun, and set about creating a little mouse in clay. She left him on her desk, and watched as everyone gravitated to him! The first piece she ever made was a ring for her friend's anniversary (a gift from her husband). To this day, we always refer to her little mouse as mummy mouse!
Since then, the little Cotswold Mice has captured the hearts of people around the world, and has become Aneata's signature piece and registered Trade Mark.
HRH Prince George and HRH Princess Charlotte were sent the first set of Cotswold Mice silver napkin rings, a gift to the Royal Family. The book came along because Aneata wanted to tell the story of how the two little mice came to be on the napkin rings.
